KOWANI was established on December 22, 1928, during the Congress of Indonesian women organizations. Inspired by the spirit of the Pledge of the Indonesian Youth, the congress arrived at a mutual commitment to strive together as one union.
Tree Planting on Mexican Embassy
On 5th February 2011, Kowani and the members had been invited by Mexican Embassy and Mexican community in Jakarta to participate in the tree-planting ceremony which was held for celebrating the 200th anniversary of the Mexican Independence and 100th anniversary of the Mexican Revolution.
